Throughout our message today, we've seen that all disciples:
- are sent together (as teams) on specific missions.
- have their message as the Kingdom of God is near.
- are to expect rejection – and handle it by moving on.
- see their missions culminating in great feasts together, while others continue to consider and learn further about the Kingdom of God.
- will be corrected by Jesus as we go out living as sent ones, learning along the way.
- prepare the way for where Jesus looks to go.
- practice Jesus’ model:
- the Twelve sent to the twelve tribes (Israel/Jerusalem & Judea)
- the messengers sent to Samaria
- the seventy (seventy-two) sent to the (seventy) nations
- should be looking for people of peace as we share the good news of the Kingdom of God.
- when we’re received by others, that rewards start flowing from the heavens to them. Jesus shows up and begins His work in the Spirit!
