Fall Season (10 Weeks)
8/21/25 - 10/23/25 at Harmon Field

This soccer community dinner is closed and specific to the soccer club. It meets a practical scheduling need (families out for practices eating dinner) and also gives us opportunity to develop intentional relationships with people we do not know. Further, we will make an open invitation each meal, inviting the families who join for dinner to stay after for the Jesus Story and discussion.

What will it look like?

The atmosphere for the evening will resemble something of a family reunion; it will be joyful, energetic, and like a big backyard BBQ. After all, we will be celebrating as God is reuniting with those (sons and daughters) whom may not presently walk with Him. The meal is a celebration of life and light; of God’s goodness in our community.

Where will it be?

We will be at Harmon field underneath the pavilion. If practices are cancelled, we will still host the meal, but it will move indoors to the Life Center at First Church Bellevue.

How can I participate?

Great Question! Here are some ways to be a part of the team! Click on each to see a little more explanation and details!

• Sign up for one of the meals and dates below.
• Purchase, provide, and prepare the food and deliver it to Harmon field.
• Food must arrive by 6:40p and be ready to dish by 6:55p.

• Set up the tables and charis, trash cans and utensils, and also the food tables once it is dropped off. Serve the food and keep the water/lemonade filled.
• Set up the speaker and play music softly through it once practice is finished (7p).
• Join with a table and eat (very important – everyone eats) after everyone has been through the line.
• Box up leftovers for whomever wants some when the story is being shared.

• Table hosts are the people who are released to socialize, meeting those they do not know and turning strangers/acquaintances into friends.
• Table hosts may also guide in discussion at tables if opportunity arises during/following a Jesus story. This guiding will be unstructured and will feel organic (although it is very intentional).
• Once the story is concluded, these hosts will likely continue in conversations if something has surfaced while others (such as set-up team and/or anyone around) help with clean-up.

• Participate regularly in the Community Meal
• Prepare then share a story of Jesus in alignment with the Sharing Jesus Stories booklet framework.
