Worship Workshop

The role of a pianist in contemporary worship is more than just playing notes — it’s about creating atmosphere, supporting the team, and helping lead others into worship. This hands-on workshop is designed for pianists of all skill levels who want to grow in their ability to play with confidence, creativity, and sensitivity in a modern worship setting.

Topics will include:

• Understanding your role in the worship band
• Chord-based playing and simplifying complex sheet music
• Building dynamic arrangements with pads, rhythms, and fills
• Playing with a worship flow (transitions, spontaneous moments, etc.)
• Using inversions and voicing for smooth progressions
• Adapting to different keys, tempos, and team configurations

We’ll work through real worship songs and provide tools you can take back to your team right away. Whether you’re used to classical training or playing by ear, this session will help you move from just "playing piano" to truly leading worship from the keys.
